Boxing Gym Training.

Boxing is one of the best types of training to get in shape; stay in shape and even lose weight. The great thing about boxing training is that there is very little muscle loss compared to other cardio workouts like running on a treadmill or elliptical. Body by Solomos has designed a boxing training program that focuses on reactive power, power endurance, muscular endurance, anaerobic endurance and aerobic endurance.  Boxing uses both aerobic and anaerobic energy pathways during a single training session and the body must be able to tolerate high levels of blood lactate and a high heart rate. Boxing training sessions help improve quickness and reaction times as a boxer must be able to react quickly and powerfully at any given time. Agility and reaction time are vital components to boxing training. Foot and hand speed, reactive power and hand eye coordination can all be significantly improved with proper conditioning.

Not only is boxing a great workout it also helps with self-defense, mobility and confidence.  I’ve had plenty of clients say that they are in great cardiovascular form and can train for half an hour without getting tired, but once I put them through 10 minutes of my boxing training program they need a break as they get too tired. Boxing uses different muscle groups and energy then just running or other types of cardio or sports related exercises.
